Yate Town - Lodge Road
Website(s) : Official Site
Discussion Boards(s) : n/a
Directions : Take the M5 southbound to Junction 14 and head towards Charfield (going left off the motorway). After two miles take a right at the T-junction and follow the B4058 to the B4059 junction at Iron Acton (six miles). Go left and head into Yate, at the roundabout take the first exit and pass the ground before taking a left at the lights and then left again.
Parking : There is a small car park but if you get there late you may have to park in a muddy field next door.
Ground Description : Basic ground with weird barriers made out tree trunks. There is a small stand with additional cover for about 200 people and the rest of the ground is undeveloped. One side is nicely lined by conifers.
Food : Nice chips although a hot dog is a small sausage in a roll. The profits must be enough to retire on!
Social Club : Haven't been in there.
Supporters : Would you admit to being a Yate Town fan?
Memories : Not good I'm afraid. I've been there twice and the first time they shot into a 2-0 lead before we clawed back to win 3-2 then in 2004 we lost twice in two weeks!

The stand at Lodge Road

The covered standing area

Yeading - The Warren
Website(s) : Official Site
Discussion Boards(s) : n/a
Directions : Take the M4 as if you're going to Heathrow Airport and leave the motorway at Junction 3. Take the first exit and follow 'The Parkway' over one roundabout and across the Paddington main railway line before exiting and going right along the A4020 Uxbridge Road. Take the first right into Springfield Road and then left at the end, where you will find the ground.
Parking : Ample
Ground Description : Another identikit 'new' ground with cover behind two goals and a stand and bar on the one side. A great place for plane spotters!
Food : ?
Social Club : Nice bar upstairs behind the main stand.
Supporters : It's always hard to knock fans of non-league clubs in the Greater London area. It takes some kind of devotion to support a club several levels below what must be tens of Premiership and League sides to choose from within an hour.
Memories : We've played Yeading just once and came away with an emphatic 3-0 FA Trophy win thanks to goals from Gary Kemp, an own goal and what was the first of many from Chris Burns.
Interesting Fact : Football movie 'Bend it like Beckham' was filmed at Yeading.
