Woking - Kingfield

Directions : It's always difficult to find a ground on the first visit, but on this occasion it did help that they were a big Conference team and they had a big, well lit stand to act as a beacon. From the M4 we cut through Bracknell and Bagshot, across the M3 and followed the signs into Woking. It's quite a mazy run into the town centre but once there you're advised to follow the signposts for the Heathside Car Park. There seems to be a 'new' and 'old' town centre in Woking, the ground is the other side of the old part. Once we got to the car park we followed the signposts to Guildford, from there the stand revealed itself and we were home and dry.
Parking : Most people suggest parking in the Leisure Centre car park, but it was dark when we arrived so we didn't see it. I guess that we were quite lucky that we managed to park outside of the ground.
Ground Description : Kingfield could easily be described as a run of the mill Ryman league type ground if it weren't for the fantastic stand behind the far goal. There is an open terrace along one side, an old wooden stand opposite with the strangely named 'Moaners Corner' alongside it and a T-End style covered terrace behind the other goal. The main stand it fantastic, yet at the same time it's very steep and I wouldn't be surprised if someone had come a cropper and fallen down it! One thing that I found odd was that you couldn't lean on the fence anywhere around the ground, thats a big thumbs down for Kingfield.
Food : We didn't eat there, we found a nice chippy on the way in.
Social Club : A nice sized club by the main stand with a few small televisons and a large screen.
Supporters : They moaned after the first game but were more interested in berating their own team after we'd beaten them. Those that we spoke to seemed a great bunch.
