Luke Corbett - Striker Luke Corbett
Luke is a young striker signed by Chris Burns in October 2005 following his release from Southern Premier rivals Mangotsfield United.
The striker had been deemed surplus to requirements at Cossham Street following a summer move from Cheltenham Town although Tigers' fans will recall that Corbett played a part in the Bristol team's win at Meadow Park as he set up one goal and took a tumble in the box to earn a penalty for the other.
The former Robins youth and reserve team player will be hoping to enjoy a long stay at Gloucester because his career so far has taken quite a nomadic and temporary course. He's been loaned far and wide with spells at Weston Super Mare, Hednesford Town and even Chelmsford City where his time was cut short after he was involved in a car crash. Fortunately he wasn't seriously hurt.
Luke seems to have scored goals wherever he has played and when he starts he doesn't stop as his record haul of seven in an U-19 match against Swansea City suggests.
He couldn't have started his City career in a better way as he scored after just fifty seconds of his debut away at Mangotsfield. Even though he got another later in the game he was still on the losing side in a 4-5 defeat.
