| Darryl is a highly rated striker signed from Division One (West) side Cinderford Town in October 2004. He is the eldest of four brothers who have all risen through the ranks at the Forest club. |
| The Coleford based forward has previously been linked with other County sides Cheltenham Town an Forest Green Rovers but has never made the move away from the Causeway until City showed an interest. The move wasn't without controversy however as Cinderford boss Mike Cook accused City of breaking a gentlemans agreement. |
| City striker Andy Hoskins went the other way as part of the deal. |
