The Tiger Roar Ground Guide

To find a ground, please click on the initial of the team that plays there from the list above.

Tamworth - The Lamb
Website(s) : Official Site, 4 Bleats to the Baah!
Discussion Boards(s) : n/a
Directions : Take the M5, then M42 to J10, then east along the A5 until you see the Snowdome. The ground is in the vicinity and not hard to find.
Parking : A large car park next to the ground
Ground Description : There must be a height restriction in order at the Lamb as everything is so flat.
Food : Can't remember.
Social Club : Nice club at the far end.
Supporters : Whinge & Moan. Typical north Midlanders.
Memories : We played there on a Friday evening, the day before Princess Diana's funeral and won 3-1. Their stewards were wankers for making us walk all the way around and not through the stand. Jobsworth's!

Taunton Town - Wordsworth Drive
Website(s) : n/a
Discussion Boards(s) : n/a
Directions : Take the M5 south to J25 and follow the main route into the town centre. After about a mile there is a roundabout, take a left and where the main road sweeps to the right, go straight ahead into Wordsworth Drive. The ground is on the left.
Parking : Big gravel car park that also houses the occasional lorry.
Ground Description : Basic but good enough for this level. It has a small stand on either side of the pitch plus small covered terraces behind both goals.
Food : You can either eat in the club or get fairground style food from the pikey mobile shop in the top corner. They sell candy floss too!
Social Club : Small but friendly club with a big screen TV.
Supporters : On our first visit they gave us free tea and rolls at half time as a way of meeting new fans. Nice bunch, all the best to them.
Memories : Two trips. The first, Lee Smith, bang and bang, The second, wind, rain, no effort, 0-5, disgrace.

Team Bath - The Sports Training Village
Website(s) : Official Site, Team Bath Impact
Discussion Boards(s) : n/a
Directions : Get into Bath via either the A46 through Stroud or the M5, M42, Avon Ring Road & A4. The University is at the top of a massive hill on the southern side of the River Avon, once in the area follow signs up the hill for Claverton Down or the University and then head for the American Museum. There is a pay and display car park here, then a walk around the perimeter of the sports hall before you get to the 'ground'.
Parking : There is a pay & display car park about 400 metres from the ground.
Ground Description : It's an athletics track with a football pitch in the middle. With a temporary stand running half the length of one side of the pitch, a few dodgy looking 'terraces' and no cover for standing spectators it doesn't get much worse than this.
Food : There is a cafe in the main complex but in the ground itself the mobile vendor had no food until half time when we were there!
Social Club : There isn't one.
Supporters : Mainly students familes. I doubt if Team Bath have any real fans!
Memories : They joined the DM Western on the back of FA Cup success where they captured the nations hearts as the first University team to reach the FA Cup proper since time began. It was all downhill from there as real supporters of real teams were treated to an afternoon or evening at Claverton Down. Our first visit for an FA Cup replay was ended abruptly due to non-working floodlights, but we won the rematch and also the league game.
