Evesham United - Common Road

| Directions : Take the M5 to Tewkesbury and get off at Junction 9. Head away from the town centre and through Ashchurch and follow the A46 into Evesham. When you get to town avoid the bypass and follow the road ahead along Cheltenham Road, before taking a right at the traffic lights (do not go over the bridge). This is now 'Waterside', at the end of the road are more lights, take a left here and cross the River Avon. The road now sweeps to the right and you have to stay on the right (it's the one way aystem) and go right down a narrow lane. This turns into Common Road and the ground is a few hundred yards down the lane on the right. |
| Parking : Plenty at the ground. |
| Ground Description : Shabby, tatty and decrepit would be overbilling the ground. Word is that they have sold this ground and will be moving to another, although it seems as though it's been in the offing for twenty years as Common Road is somewhat neglected. The stand is small, wooden and falling down and the cover behind the bottom goal is the only shelter for standing fans, although it's flat so the capacity is limited. The railway line runs alongside the length of the pitch on an embankment and the River borders the top end. |
