A Season in Photos - Part Twelve - From Halesowen (H) to Banbury (A)
The Yeltz were our visitors on Easter Monday and the game, like the holiday for atheists turned out to be a bit of a non-event. Jody Bevan will remember the game though as he scored his only goal from open play within a minute of coming on as substitute.

The Yeltz defender goes full stretch to deny Addis

Wilko rises above his Brummie opponents

"Mrs" Tompkins, Mouse and Chris try to avoid their cameraphobia ....

.... but look happy enough as Jody celebrates his splendid goal

Bevan challenges the keeper as he looks for a second ....

.... and goes full stretch to get ahead of the defender

Wilko looks to nod his way in front of his opponent

The Gaffer applauds the City fans at the final whistle

Meadow Park's final game of the season was against Hitchin Town, one of the teams who we'd overtaken in our surge up the table. The game remained goalless until Corbs came off the bench and he celebrated in style in front of the T-End with his late winner. I wonder if the comment "That's Luke Corbett, the Mangotsfield reject" that he'd overheard from a Hitchin fan as he warmed up at half time spurred him onto his goal?

Justin Pritchard appears to take a kick at PC Richard Wilmot

A fan is a week early for the fancy dress party!

My 2x extender brought the action much closer!

Jody does the guy with the seventies haircut

Lyndon gets a nosebleed as he strays upfield

Jamie Reid hooks the ball forward

"Live the dream" - support the Tigers!

Mark Preece gets in a bit of a tangle

Bathy rushes out to punch clear

Jamie tries to avoid a Thommo like injury on the same part of the wall!

Matt Bath saves with the Hitchin flag as a unique backdrop

Jody beats the Hair Bear Bunch again ....

.... whilst Luke tries a goose step!

Close! The ball is headed off the line

Pritchard shoots hopelessly wide ....

.... and it goes straight to McKeever who sees his effort well saved ....

.... only for Luke to slam home the rebound and milk the celebrations!

The keeper does well to claim the cross from Preece

The players applaud the home fans at the end of a long, hard season

Like last season our final match was away at the Spencer Stadium in Banbury. Many fans and officials took the opportunity to go in fancy dress with the Grim Reaper, Superman, a farmer, a convict and several Blues Brothers in the crowd. The game was almost an afterthought with Banbury pinching the points thanks to a last minute winner.

The City fans give the players a tickertape welcome, much to their hosts displeasure!

Banbury's Andy Baird shoots across the face of goal

Jody Bevan shoots from a tight angle

Wilko gets up higher than his marker

Never mind the football, the Grim Reaper is ready to strike!

Tony Mills does his air horn impression

"We can see you warming up!"

Jody Bevan and his moulded studs

Addis scores, but it was disallowed for handball
