A Season in Photos - Part Eleven - From Bedford (H) to Salisbury (A)
Another clean sheet, although City couldn't breach the Bedford goal either as the eventual playoff winners came to Meadow Park.

Another perfectly timed capture, again against Bedford ....

.... the ball even left a mark on his head!

Jody might've scored but for a dubious "tackle" from ex-Oxford man Mike Ford

Daryl looked determined in his aerial challenges ....

.... whilst the defender was surprised by Luke's agility!

Young sub Michael Noakes took a tumble

The Bedford striker missed a sitter ....

.... but Dutch couldn't put this one in from close range

Celebrity team Chesham were the next visitors to Meadow Park in a game switched around at Christmas time to allow the Fasthosts party to go ahead on the pitch. This was a walk in the park for Tim Harris' men as three goals at the start of the second half virtually condemned Luther Blissett's charges to relegation, although they did become the first team to score past Matt Bath in over a month.
On target for the Tigers were Dutch with a towering header, new boy Mark McKeever with a corner that was given by the linesman although my photo suggests that it didn't cross the line and Luke Corbett rifled in the third with a half volley at the far post. In injury time Michael "MC" Harvey was sent off for his part in a twenty man brawl and the photos were later shown on Soccer AM!

Not everyone enjoted the atmosphere on the T-End

McKeever goes down under a "So Solid" challenge from MC Harvey

The man himself

Dutch rises high above everyone else ....

.... and plants the ball into the back of the net

McKeever gets lucky as his corner is adjudged to have crossed the line

But Corbs makes no mistake as he lashes in a volley ....

.... and watches as it rasps against the back of the net

Harvey gets involved in some freestyle rapping with MC Harris!

Harvey can't defend but he sure can grab, as Jody finds out

Lyndon Tompkins comes close with this effort

McKeever comes close, but it just misses the far post

Harvey gets involved ....

.... and is sent off. "Bye Bye, Bye Bye!"

Our unbeaten run finally came to an end at the hands of Champions elect Salisbury City, the team who had been spending twice as much as the average team on wages in their pursuit of glory. A rare mistake from Chris Holland presnted Paul Sales with the opener before a splendid shot from Alex Haddow doubled the Whites' lead on the stroke of half time.

An electronic scoreboard in the Southern League?!!!

The City enclave in the Salisbury end

Lyndon tried a spectacular volley

"Onward Harris' soldiers, Marching as to war..."

Jody gets on one the nose!

Webby and his mate look for inspiration

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you "The Doctor"

Hello love, there's a game on you know!

Salisbury celebrate the title but their fans have pissed off!
