Meet the Fans - Steve Phelps previous : next
Name : Steve Phelps
Age : 34
Homepage : Retro Remakes
Lives In : Gloucester
Occupation : Call Centre Manager
All-time Favourite City XI :

 1 Matt Bath
 2 Jon Holloway
 3 Lee Smith
 4 Gary Kemp
 5 Gary Thorne
 6 Chris Burns
 7 Steve Talboys
 8 Andy Adebowale
 9 Dale Watkins
10 Jimmy Cox
11 Adie Harris

12 Neil Mustoe
14 Karl Bayliss
15 Chris Townsend
Best three City goals ever seen :

Goal 1 : Adie Mings vs Dagenham, FA Trophy Semi Final, Meadow Park. What a goal and what timing !!

Goal 2 : Karl Bayliss, vs Wealdstone (Waterlooville - Neil), Meadow Park, one Sunday in the early 90's when Baylo scored from the left wing.

Goal 3 : Andy Adebowale vs' Cambridge City, just after a mouthy Cambridge fan had turned to Neil and said "he's all legs".
First Game Attended :
Sometime in 1988 .....
Description of yourself on a matchday :
Fat slob that props himself up against a barrier and shouts banter at the opposing goalkeeper and also an occasional song starter.
Other team(s) supported :
Liverpool
Favourite Away ground :
Rushden & Diamonds
Worst Away ground :
Atherstone closely followed by Merthyr Tydfil
Furthest travelled to an away game :
Bishop Auckland
Most memorable City match :
Has to be FA Trophy semi final against Dagenham (all three games).
Maddest Celebration :
When we were promoted for 5 minutes up at Bromsgrove back in 1991. Everyone went from the highest high to the lowest low when the real result became apparent.
All-time favourite City player :
Gary Kemp, he was City thru and thru.
Current favourite City player :
Matt Bath - it would be Lee Smith but I feel he needs another season to establish himself.
Improvements you would make to Meadow Park :
Cover the car park end. Get rid of the CDB idiots once and for all by banning their asses.
Most outrageous thing you've done at a City match :
Asked Adie Mings live on Radio Gloucestershire how it felt to score the equaliser at Meadow Park, against Dagenham, to which he replied "F**king Brilliant".
Overall Comments :
Colin Gardner. What a guy. He may be a moaning, penny pinching old goat but he's the best chairman we have had in all my time following City. He shares a passion for the side as we do but he manages to keep a level head and I think with him and Eamon at the helm we will go far.
