In all he had just the two games, away at Broadwell and at home to Bristol Rovers, although his match preparation out on the piss hardly helped him stake a claim for a longer spell at Meadow Park. Local footballers will know Tony as a dangerous striker from his time with Cinderford Town and Slimbridge on Saturdays and John Carr in the Gloucester and District Sunday League. During his time at the Causeway Tony was a member of the Cinderford team that lost to ten man Weston Super Mare in the FA Cup and revealed that their manager of the time knew fully an hour before kick off that his opponents were depleted but failed to alter his team accordingly. These days Postman Tony has swapped terrorising defences around the County for the streets of Longlevens!
