With yound keeper Matt Utteridge suffering a crisis of confidence he was drafted in to play in the midweek replays in the mammoth FA Trophy tie against Runcorn and twice made the long trip up to Cheshire to fill in between the sticks. Our first visit to Canal Street (with a silent 'C' according to many opposition fans) saw Russ perform heroics and also pull off a fantastic penalty save to keep us in the tie. An act that will always mean he has a fond place in Tigers fans' memories.
