However, despite being the leagues top scorer with the Frome Road outfit a year earlier he simply couldn't find the net for City and often becamse a victim of the boo boys on the T-End. An incredible move by gaffer Brian Godfrey saw him switched to the left back position by Christmas and he became a revelation, and ironically started to find the net with regular ease. The season finished with him being named as Player of the Year. Us? Fickle? Nooooo His second season at Meadow Park must've been difficult when the previous season's team was dismantled and more often than not Meach found himself playing with several new faces each week. Being a non-contract player he didn't have to hang around and before long he'd opted to head back to his native Bristol and play with his brothers team at Patchway.
