Owen started just three games for City; scoring in two of them, the rest were as substitute appearances. Odd that he was used so sparsely considering he came to the club match fit and in form, unlike some of the other signings made by Mike Cook. His goals were at home to Chester, the consolation in a 1-6 defeat and away at Curzon Ashton, an equaliser in a game that we went on to lose 1-4.
