Every season The Tigers take part in the FA Cup, FA Trophy and the Southern League Cup. The FA Cup is a real cash cow and for some teams it can make or break their season whilst the FA Trophy offers a realistic chance of glory and has seen City make a big splash twice in the past decade. The League Cup is less well received but again offers a nice distraction and a real chance of silverware although the downside can see long midweek away trips towards the end of the season.
Lurking in the shadows of these competitions is the runt of the litter; The Gloucestershire Senior Cup.
For years our competition was open solely to the clubs in the north of the county whilst a seperate contest took place in the south between Bristol Rovers and Bristol City and was a one off game each year. But since the re-alignment of the county boundaries the cup has thrown up more interesting draws with the inclusion of the two Football League sides.
Despite being largely outplayed by Bishops Cleeve, in April 2024 City won the competition for the first time in over thirty years with this penalty shootout
