Young goalkeeper initially signed in the summer of 2012 playing five times before losing his place to the fit again Mike Green.
Conor left the club and linked up with Chippenham Town and faced City in the FA Cup fourth round qualifying tie which Darren Edwards won for City in injury time. Always got the impression that there was bad blood because Conor got an absolute battering from the City players that afternoon.
Following impressive form at Hardenhuish Park Conor signed for then Football League side Torquay United.
Conor came back to City at the end of the 2013/14 campaign, making just the one appearance.
Conor's dad Paul Thompson was a goalkeeper with Mangotsfield United and played against City in 2003.
His younger brother Jared signed for the club in early 2024 eventually becoming first choice and Conor rejoined the club as goalkeeping coach and reserve keeper.
