Luke Ballinger - Forward
D.O.B. - - Bath
Debut : Stourbridge (H) - 16/08/08 Last Game : Lowestoft Town (A) - 27/10/09
Following a huge thirty-six goal haul for Melksham Town in the Toolstation League in 2006/07 followed by nine more goals in a poor Mangotsfield United side the following season Luke signed for the club in July 2008.
Luke scored on his debut in the 4-1 win against Stourbridge at Cirencester in August 2008. He went on to net four goals in his first six games but as the season wore on he was an irregular in the team.
He finished the season with seven goals including the vital winner away at Swindon Supermarine in the 1-0 win in April 2009.
Luke only scored once more after City won promotion to the Conference North although it was a good one in the 6-3 win away at Corby Town. With the Corby keeper hopelessly off of his line he passed the ball in at an angle from the right wing into the empty net.
He was also a regular in the England Futsal team and at one point not only held the record for most appearances but also for the most goals scored at 108 caps and more than 60 goals.
His Grandfather is former City wing half who played for the club for a little over a month at the start of the 1966/67 season.
