THE GLOUCESTER PARTNERSHIP
As Gloucester City Football Club comes to terms with the major repercussions of the loss of our Meadow Park headquarters to the flood of Summer 2007, we find ourselves playing outside the City boundaries for the first time.

But there is always a positive side to a problem and for season 2007/8 the Club is playing in the marvellous Five Valley's Leisure Complex – the home of Forest Green Rovers, a stadium that can welcome nearly 6,000 people and where the corporate facilities are second to none. Their welcome is an example of Partnership within the football family. The move to Forest Green gives the Club a wonderful opportunity to refine and develop the corporate side of our activities off the pitch and we hope that the bulk of Gloucester business, commerce and the population in general will continue to support the Club despite it being a little way out of town.

Despite playing "out of town", the Club still represents the City of Gloucester to the outside world and it is very important that we retain our links with the City and the business community as we seek to find a site and build a new stadium back in Gloucester.

To help retain that link, Gloucester City Football Club is seeking to establish long lasting partnerships with both local and national businesses. We want to give the City of Gloucester a high profile football club that competes on a national stage and represents everything that is good about our developing City.

Association Football remains at the heart of sporting life in Gloucester and we see the Football Club as an integral part of the growth of Gloucester as a business and commercial centre in the West of England, highlighting our local businesses on the national stage. Both playing and watching football remains top of the agenda when it comes to sporting participation, conversation and interest.

While the Club has a 125 year history, it is the future we are really interested in.

Below, we are pleased to introduce some of the ways you can market your business, service or products through the medium of Gloucester City AFC. Entering a relationship with the club is not just about supporting or sponsoring – it is a genuine partnership where we seek to give as much back as we receive.

The coming season sees huge opportunities for Gloucester City AFC. With what is probably the best stadium in the British Gas Business Football League, some of the best support and a team being put together by Tim Harris that will challenge at the top, 2007/8 will be a great time to be involved with the Club.

We look forward to developing our partnership.

Gloucester City has its own official web site which we are constantly reviewing and upgrading. We can offer you an opportunity to advertise on our site and place links to your own web site at an affordable cost….

In addition, the Club’s unofficial supporters web site "Tiger Roar" has offered to carry the same advertisements and links at no additional cost – giving two for the price of one.

Company information, advertisement and link to web site is just £100 + vat per annum.

STEP ON BOARD INTO THE FUTURE

Ground Advertising Boards
With the Ground sharing arrangements at Forest Green Rovers, new opportunities arise with GROUND ADVERTISING BOARDS or BANNERS.

This traditional method of advertising in sports stadia has been around almost since football began. The reason for it’s longevity is that it is effective. Advertising boards in and around the ground provide an excellent opportunity to increase business profile as it places the advertiser at the heart of their community while getting both branding and the generic message across to the wider audience.

For an affordable cost you can display your company/business details to thousands of potential customers both within the stadium and sometimes via the media to a much wider audience.

Sites available in all parts of the stadium from £200 plus VAT.

Sign writing costs are additional.
Three year contracts offer significant discounts.

Stadium sharing gives added opportunities to increase profile. Why not discuss a "double up" where your advertisement not only features at Gloucester City’s British Gas Business League matches but also at the televised Blue Square League matches of Forest Green Rovers.

No price is fixed in concrete but below we list some examples of prices.
  • 9’ x 2’ pitch side site for Gloucester City Matches only - £200.00
  • 8’ x 2’ site in front of main stand facing the supporters within the stand for Gloucester City matches only - £200.00 This may seem a strange position but with the stand holding 2,000 spectators, it is where the bulk of supporters, directors and members of the Business ConneXtions Club will be watching the game from.
  • Double size Gloucester City match site offers a 20% discount – so an 18’ x 2’ comes in at just £320.00.
  • 8’ x 2’6" site on the rear panels facing the main stand for both Gloucester City and Forest Green Rovers televised matches - £500.00 These sites are not obscured and can be seen by all spectators, as well as the television camera’s and press photographers. The above are simply examples – we can discuss specific requirements for advertising throughout the stadium – be if for Gloucester City matches or doubling up to take in Forest Green Rovers matches too.
Examples of the cost of making the boards from Companies such as County Signs, Severn Signs or Sign-a-rama might be ... 8'x3' Heavy Duty Banner...£120 8'x2' PVC board...£165
