After a long and successful league career he returned to the club as goalkeeping coach. Steve had also featured for City's youth team prior to joining Swindon. Was nominated as one of the FA Cup players of the round for his performance for Southend United agains Chelsea in a 1-1 draw in January 2009. He didn't win!
