John Shaw - Goalkeeper
D.O.B. - - Stirling, Scotland
Debut : Ashtree Highfield (H) - 20/08/88 Last Game : Burton Albion (A) - 07/04/90 (unused sub)
"Savallas headed" goalkeeper, as he was described in the press following his heroics in the FA Cup ties against Cardiff City joined City in the summer of 1988 after making more than 400 Football League appearances for both Bristol City and Exeter City.
John was a virtual ever present as Brian Godfrey's men won the Midland Division Championship but as good as he was, he was also prone to errors letting shots through his hands to concede at both Tamworth and Worcester City.
