Locally born and bred striker who enjoyed several spells at the club after scoring at an incredible rate for the Development XI as a sixteen year old.

His first goal was a real goalhangers effort adding the finishing touch to a Steve Davies header against Hinckley at Whaddon although he really announced himself with a hat-trick inside the first half hour against Yate Town in the FA Cup, a feat which earned him the Player of the Round award and a trip to the Final at Wembley.

Still in his teens he was used mainly as a substitute but did bag another hat-trick at home to Harrogate and his talents didn't go unnoticed and was signed by Newport County. He didn't really make the grade at Spytty Park and soon returned to City on loan and then again permanently.

As important as his goals were he was a provider too and and one of his best assists came away at Brackley when he sprinted clear of his marker to the the far touchline and sent in a perfect cross for Charlie Griffin to head home at the far post.

He started the 2016/17 season in the best possible fashion with an absolutely brilliant equaliser away at Salford City where he ran half the length of the pitch holding off physical challenges before slotting home. All this in front of Gary Neville and his Class of '92 mates!

The 2017/18 season saw him score 15 goals; his best return by some distance. Maybe he preferred the South ;)

With the arrival of James Rowe Joe opted to leave and was sold to Leamington where he played as a right winger. It was a role that he also occupied at Chippenham Town and one that he was brought back to City to fill with the aim of him feeding Danny Wright in the middle.

It didn't work out and he became the victim of an unfortunate scheme to release him from his contract and was publicly banished to the reserves.

He didn't play for the club again and was sent out on loan to Tiverton Town.

He signed for Tiverton on a permanent basis in July 2024.
