Gareth Taylor - Defender
D.O.B. - - Weston-super-Mare
Debut : Trowbridge Town (H) - 18/01/91 Last Game : Crawley Town (A) - 25/01/91
Gareth played two games for City as a teenager on loan from Bristol Rovers. He was signed by Steve Millard who was sacked after that second game and Taylor returned to Rovers.
He played his two games for City as a full back although became a striker in a move which saw him make moves around football league clubs for £Millions.
During the game at Crawley his opposite sided full back Alex Crook had been given a torrid time by veteran winger Tony Towner so Millard switched him at half time, the first chance he had Taylor hit Towner with a hard, fair tackle and Towner became ineffective after that.
After his playing days Taylor became manager of Manchester City Women and he signed former City youth player Naomi Layzell from Bristol City Women in 2024.
