Connor Waldon - Forward
D.O.B. -
Debut : Bradford Park Avenue (A) - 02/11/13 Last Game : Worcester City (A) - 28/12/13
Young striker signed on loan from Swindon Town in late 2013.
Having had a relatively unproductive spell with Frome Town (that saw him cup tied too) little was expected of the unexperienced striker but after a shooting a blank on his debut at Bradford he came good with a stunning equaliser and a header in the home game with Colwyn Bay.
He seized on a short backpass at Borehamwood as City pulled off a daylight robbery job in the FA Trophy but had a frustrating afternoon at Vauxhall Motors where he was kept quiet by an overzealous linesman's flag.
He was back among the goals when City destroyed title chasing wannabees Hednesford Town 5-1 grabbing the third with a shot that could've been a cross from the corner of the area, only Connor will know!
Then he scored twice to beat Altrincham, another favourite. He beat a defender at the near post to head home Matt Groves' cross before his deflected shot left Alty keeper Stuart Coburn helpless.
He had a barren run and was even dropped before he bowed out with a stunning half volley on the turn to beat Worcester City in our Christmas local derby played at Kidderminster. He even picked up a yellow card for some silliness with ex-Tiger Tyler Weir!
Connor rejoined the club for a second loan spell in February 2014.
