Winger with lightning pace signed with Steve Fergusson in March 1990 from Worcester City for a combined fee of £30,000.
Ironically Hackett scored more goals than Fergusson, who'd commanded the lions share of the transfer fee. Both were part of the squad that toured Georgia in the summer of 1991.
After a steady start to the following season it became necessary to get him and Fergusson off of the wage bill and both were sold to Telford United following Brian Godfrey's sacking.
Hackett returned to the club at the end of the decade but by then his pace was gone and again left after the wage bill was slashed following a disastrous start to the season. The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.
