He was part of a contingent of players from the west London area who were bussed to Merthyr on matchdays. Of the eight goals that he scored in his first season six of them came in four successive games including a brace in the top of the table clash at Hednesford which City won 3-1. The following season he found the net ten times including an absolute purler with the outside of his boot into the top corner at Cambridge City. It was especially nice as an old bastard sat next to me kept saying "He's all legs" prior to him scoring in the 4-0 victory. Andy left following the sacking of John Murphy but returned for a short spell the following season.
