Powerful striker signed from Bath City for £8000 in the summer of 1996.
Adie will always be remembered for his equalising goal against Dagenham & Redbridge in the FA Trophy but he found the net 45 times in total including a hat-trick in the 10-0 FA Cup win against Sudbury Town.
He returned for a loan spell in 2004 but wasn't the player we remembered, scoring just the one goal, in his last game.
Adie held a scouting role at Chelsea after his playing career as well as Director of Football back here at City for a short spell in 2021.
His son Tyrone is an Aston Villa player and has also played for England.
